Restoration of montreal city hall

Montreal City Hall, a Quebec heritage jewel built in 1878, underwent a major restoration project aimed at preserving this historic building while adapting it to contemporary needs. The work focused on the façades, roofing, and interior structures, alongside the modernization of mechanical and electrical systems. This project stands out as one of the largest heritage restoration undertakings in Quebec’s history.

BFS contribution

  • Qualitative and quantitative risk analyses conducted ahead of project execution, followed by ongoing support for risk control during implementation
  • Determination of a financial risk reserve based on Monte Carlo simulation to financially plan for residual risk realization during construction
  • Development of tailored response plans to ensure rigorous risk control and promote adherence to key project parameters
